I'm a Prac-ademic!
With over 30 years’ experience in residential childcare and social pedagogy, I support students, practitioners, managers, leaders and organisations to develop more relational, empowering and humane ways of working. As a UK-qualified social worker (DipSW, 1995) and social pedagogue (MA, 2011), I use social pedagogy as an ethical and practical framework for navigating complexity and creating meaningful change.
My work spans practice, leadership, training, consultancy and education. Since the 1990s, I have established and managed children’s homes, contributed to the strategic development of children’s services, designed and delivered training, published on social pedagogy and children’s care, and worked with organisations across the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors to co-create better support for children, young people and those who work alongside them.

Individual supervision for practitioners and leaders, offering reflective, values-based support for practice, leadership and decision-making.

Facilitated learning spaces that enable practitioners to think critically about complex cases, strengthen professional judgement and learn with peers.

Tailored training programmes designed around your team’s needs, helping practitioners build confidence, strengthen relationships and embed social pedagogical approaches into everyday practice.
