Bespoke Training

I have trained groups of social care professionals, students and carers for several decades (see CV for further information) and aim to “create situations where it is impossible not to learn”. 

This means taking account of a variety of learning and communication styles so that the head, heart and hands are engaged and connected throughout the course. 

I plan courses diligently and always have a number of back up plans so that I can respond to the needs of the group in the moment while not losing the learning objectives. I do not have off the shelf training offers as I believe firmly that understanding the context is vital when creating learning opportunities that stay with the participants and lead to meaningful change in practice. My belief is rooted in a strong evidence base that shows how important it is for leaders to prepare and support learning.
